1. What is holistic nutrition?
Holistic nutrition provides balance by focusing on proper nutrition as the basis for optimum health and well being.
2. How can eating a holistic diet help me?
Good health begins with good foundation. Food is the foundation for life. By consuming natural, organic foods, the body can readily recognize the nutrient intake and provide the body with the necessary vitamins and minerals it needs to fight disease and maintain healthy composure. Toxins such as food additives, preservatives, dies and foreign substances won’t get stuck and clog the filtration systems of our body. Eating holistically means less disease, more energy, long life.
3. Who qualifies for our services?
Grandma’s Soup provides food to individuals and families who live in the Evanston, Skokie & Wilmette communities who are in crisis due to chronic disease or life-threatening illness such as cancer. We also provide meals to those individuals suffering from a short term illness such as surgery and to those who just want to eat healthy.
However, we give priority to clients who are medically challenged, economically disadvantaged, to those with children, to people living alone without any support and to those who don’t qualify for any other meal program such as Meals on Wheels or Meals at Home.
Simply complete our online client intake application and wait to be contacted. Please provide the most current information as you complete the application as this gives us the opportunity to create a meal plan that will be supportive to your healing and prepared to fit your consumption needs.
4. How long can I receive the service?
Our clients are eligible to receive meals for three months (12 weeks) regardless of their ability to pay. At the end of your first three months, we will meet with you evaluate your situation. If needed, we will extend the services based on the need of the client.

When you complete the client intake application, a client Relations Liaison will contact you to schedule an in-person consultation to discuss your meal plan based on the information that you provided in your application.
6. How will I get my meals?
Meals are available for pick-up or delivery. Once clients have completed the intake process and agreed to the terms of their contract, a meal delivery or pick-up schedule will be created. Meals will be delivered based on the terms of the agreement. If a change needs to be made, please contact us.
7. How many meals will I get?
We prepare complete balanced meals using freshest, most natural organic farm to table products. Each meal consists of an entrée, side, vegetable and or fruit and dessert based on the dietary need of the client.
