Ordering meals is easy.  Each week we post a new menu.

  • View the weekly menu
  • Select the number of meals you want (i.e. if you want meals 2-3 days a week choose 2-3 different meals)
  • Place your order by 11:59pm Thursday of that week
  • Check out.
  • Reply to your confirmation email with delivery instructions.
  • Your food is on its way the following week.

You can order meals for as many days of the week as you wish (i.e. if you want meals 2-3 days a week choose 2-3 different meals).  There is no long term contract to sign and standing orders are accepted. Order for yourself, a friend, neighboring family as a gift or for someone in need.

Meal Delivery
Meals are delivered according to your selected day and time. Meals are transported in industry specific containers and for food safety reasons, will not be left in a cooler on your doorstep unless otherwise agreed to in writing.   Simply set the table, follow the reheating instructions and bon appetite. You’ll have a delicious, healthy, holistic gourmet meal on the table in minutes.

Who’s Cookin’!

Grandma’s Soup has a host of culinary interns from Kendall College, Le Cordon Bleu-Chicago, ETHS, New Trier & Regina to help with preparation and cooking. Meals, menus and client meal plans are prepared by Executive Chef Kaquana King.

Chef King is a graduate of Kendall College and Le Cordon Bleu with degrees in Culinary Arts and Culinary Management & Nutrition. She has cooked and worked in the food service industry for over twenty-five years with detailed experience in front and back of the house operations, catering, storeroom & cost control, culinary instruction and nutritional coaching. Her Native American heritage, connection with people, experience in the kitchen, knowledge of food and nutrition, makes her the ideal person to prepare delicious, holistic meals tailored to your nutritional needs.

Hands-On Cooking Classes

Grandma’s Soup’s hands-on cooking classes are designed to offer students a hands-on opportunity to learn about nutrition and its importance while exploring the world of healthy, holistic food.  Each class or series of classes focuses on kitchen safety, balanced nutrition, meal preparation and cooking method & technique.  The cooking classes create fun, interactive family time in the kitchen and around the dinner table.  Students are enthusiastic about sharing their creations with family and friends!

Eat This, Not That ($175/6-wk session)
This six week series of hands-on cooking classes focuses on proper nutrition, incorporating organic into everyday cooking and eating.  For six weeks, we will also explore the world of picky eaters and food allergy suffers in this series.  Picky eaters and food allergy sufferers are among the most difficult to cook for…”I don’t like it” can turn into “more please”!

How to Boil Water ($175/6-wk session)
So you think you can’t cook?  We can change that.  This class will help you feel more comfortable in the kitchen while opening the door to endless cooking possibilities that you and your family be excited to eat.

Creative Chef’s ($150/8-wk session)
Explore the world through food.  This eight week theme based series of classes explore the world of food from around the world.  Students get to prepare a three course meal and take it home to enjoy with friends and family.

Vegetarian Delight ($150/5-wk session)
The world of vegetables is bigger than we ever knew.  In this session we’ll explore the endless possibilities to eating vegetables and the benefits that they offer.  Get ready to go for an eye opening, taste explosion.

Just Desserts ($150/5-wk session)
Everyone loves desserts.  It’s the first thing looked at on the menu. The delectable world of dessert is explored and you get to make these scrumptious treats with a healthy twist. Who says you can’t have your cake and eat it too?  Not us!!

Wine & Dine ($175/6-wk session)
Wine has been around since the beginning of time. There are many healthy connections to wine and food. Why not eat, drink and be merry? Each week you’ll explore the health benefits of wine and prepare a dish to go with the weekly wine selection.

Around the Dinner Table ($225/family/5-wk session)
There are no better time than dinner time…Great food, interesting conversation and a few minutes of family time. The whole family gets to create a full dinner with dessert in a fun atmosphere while exploring the art and techniques of cooking.

Healthy, Holistic Meals

Grandma’s Soup’s meals are available for individuals and families affected by life-threatening illness, chronic health conditions, short term illness, food allergies, and for those who just want to eat healthy.

All meals are made from scratch using fresh, natural, organic products such as GOMBS (greens, onions, mushrooms, beans & berries and nuts & seeds) as part of the foundation for meal preparation.  Doctors discovered that by incorporating this foundational food group into the daily diet, these foods help the body naturally fight disease. Our meals are packaged in disposable recyclable containers for reheating or ready to cook purposes.  Meals are prepared based on the client’s nutritional needs and are available for pick-up or delivery.

Nutritional Coaching

Studies show that nearly 33% of life-threatening illness can be prevented simply by changing what we eat.   Nutritional coaching uses food as medicine to guide the body toward optimum health and wellness.  By teaching you how to incorporating healthy fats, low glycemic carbohydrates and quality proteins, your body will actively balances itself when given nutrients that are easily recognizable and digestible.  Grandma’s Soup’s goal is to help you take the guess work out of proper nutrition.

We know that you’re busy. Grandma’s Soup is always available to customize a menu, help plan an event and deliver gourmet cuisine directly to you. The First Step

Becoming a client is the first step on your road to a healthier you. Making healthy dietary and lifestyle changes will dramatically increase your body’s natural ability to fight disease and prevent illness.

To find out whether or not our services are for you, please complete the online client intake application. The information gathered in this phase of the program, gives us an opportunity to evaluate your information and comprise a meal plan that is best suited for you and your illness.

Once you become a client, our client liaison will contact you to schedule your in-person consultation. During your in-person consultation, we will cover your individualized meal plan, meal delivery & pick-up schedule and the terms and conditions associated with our services.

Healthy Bodies, One Meal at a Time

You do not have to be sick to receive our meals!  Food is the foundation of Grandma’s Soup.  Good health begins with a good foundation.  Our meals are made from scratch using fresh, natural, organic products such as GOMBS (greens, onions, mushrooms, beans & berries and nuts & seeds) as part of the foundation for meal preparation.

Grandma’s Soup is able to accommodate a wide range of dietary needs and restrictions.  Grandma’s Soup’s meals are available to individuals and families affected by life-threatening illness, chronic health conditions, short term illness, food allergies, and to those who just want to eat healthy.

Clients of suffering from a life-threatening or chronic illness will receive meals via delivery for themselves and their family for up to three months regardless of their ability to pay.  If meals are needed for a period of time beyond the initial three months, we will continue to provide meals based on the needs of the client.  Meals are also available for those individuals and families who just want to eat healthy.
